Kaffe Fassett -- Colour Inspiration Lecture

Designed to inspire and motivate. Kaffe’s presentation highlights work from his latest projects, and collaborations, including his patchwork, fabric, needlepoint, mosaics, painting, and knitting designs. For 2023, much of the lecture will focus on the books Kaffe Fassett’s Timeless Treasures and Quilts by the Sea.

Kaffe's inspiration comes from his travels throughout the world. His lecture is designed not so much to instruct, but to empower and inspire the audience to create and develop their "mind's eye.” Audiences leave invigorated—entranced by Kaffe’s sense and use of color; they are ready to try it themselves and are encouraged to do so.

The slide show lasts approximately one hour followed by a Q&A session and book signing.

Each attendee to the lecture will receive a copy of Kaffe Fassett’s Timeless Treasures, a goodie bag, and admission to the Iowa Quilt Museum as part of their admission price. You may visit the museum during the day from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Book signing will occur following the lecture at the Iowa Quilt Museum along with a Piece Works Quilt Shop Kaffe Fassett Pop Up Shop.

Admission is $100 per person for seating on the first floor of the Iowa Theater and $90 for balcony seating (climbing stairs is required for balcony seating). Seating is very limited.
